untitled (for the girl of my dreams) by Barbara GriffithYou were once a pristine Godess,
Down flowed your smooth brown hair,
Your voice reached ears in Heaven,
As did dramatics and the flair
Your words were ones of hope,
You felt, you saw, you grew.
Your dreams are now reality,
More real than one ever knew.
But now in time and memories,
The golden shine has faded.
While smile and voice still live within,
The feelings grow more jaded.
Enchantment followed you around
Like a wispy wedding train.
The false romance of yesteryear
Now commonplace, and plain. 05/19/2005 Author's Note: It's not that I don't care for her anymore, because tha'd be a lie. It's just... she's grown up, and so have I.
