the cost of one thought by Charlie Morgan...one thought is like a sparrow:
unnoticed, a whiz-by of grey,
a blur of hurried heart beats,
scampering around between
my temples, searching for
a cell of meaning to latch on to,
trying to draw understanding;
in a nano-second it's gone.
...a thought
upon waking, rises to rouse me
and done, drops off as
another takes its place,
then another, and of course
another...sex, granny's mincemeat pie, work,
dogs, sprinkler system, sex, vacation,
time to write, sex, work, read, sleep
more sex and then repeat daily.
