Goodbye, Dear Friend

by Jaydon Cole

Drenching goodbyes fall around us
In torrents of memories sweeping through
The gutters of another lost friendship.

The dream started with a charge that
Arced across the sky in a blinding flash that
Left creation in awe of the power and

Died in a violent roar that shook what
Encompassed the tiny universe of our combined
Realities. The trailing silence awakened

A feeling of discontent for a lie that
We elaborately wove into our magenta sky
Now falling in drops of fragmented pride.

I enjoyed your form. The sentiment is quite sad but it seems as though you have accepted it. Well done.
