finals by Charlie Morgan i'm taking this course called Life 1301;
there's a second part, well not Life 1302.
it's called Afterlife and there ain't no number.
there's this textbook i've been using
to study, it's just a guide:
B.I.B.L.E (Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth).
i'm a little scared, i don't know much;
i've only read it once
and
it mentions love a lot, i mean, a lot;
it says some bad words, too but
only a couple.
now there's this guy, Jesus that's heavy duty
and he can kick your butt but doesn't
and instead he loves you more;
he's the weirdest cat in this book
he's a good guy, he's all about love,
even though there's some other characters
you wouldn't want your mama to meet.
it's morbid, it's full of death
and destruction. but, somewhere
between these pages is some sorta secret, i'm told.
seems some of the secret is glaringly clear:
quit hurting other people, don't destroy
and love everything instead.
but, that must not be it because
the same faces are the same faces
and the same hearts are the same hearts.
and
we seem to be clipping right along
with our 72 year life span of Life 1301
and we haven't even registered
for Afterlife.
