Grimm Was Wrong by Heide McAlister-BatesFairy tales are fiction.
I feared that then -
I know it now.
Promises are ephemeral.
Trust is transient.
Happiness is fleeting.
Lonliness is inevitable.
Mind-fucking is passionless.
Kisses are dry humour.
Success tastes bitter in my
mouth.
The moral of this story?
There is no ever-after,
happy
or
otherwise. 05/03/2005 Posted on 05/03/2005 Copyright © 2024 Heide McAlister-Bates

Posted by Bradd Howard on 05/06/05 at 05:55 PM Great! Fairy tales and myths have always inspired me... it's the letting go that some day they will save you that's hard. Nice work |
