i don't really like this
feeling

it's like watching your breath
escape from the warmth it knows
into the chill that freezes it
midair

for some reason when the sun
decided to rest last night
it also decided to stay at
rest

and this darkness that has
settled into my soul as a result
of that stillness scares me
speechless
