i am just a man

by Charlie Morgan

a blotch of messed-up loves
shouldn't be on my record,

i tried hard.

but i'm from another planet.
i'm Venutian, they're Martian.

when i yin,
they yang.

like ships in the night
passing would've been
such sweet pleasure,
hearing only the wail
of the horn-blast announcing
your presence in a soupy fog.

when, in broad daylight,
our ships always collided;
we, every time, sank to
darkened depths,
green with opalesence,
black from no light of Hope.

The distinct separation of the two sexes on all levels has always amazed me. If in fact we are the product of some superior being, he/she needs to go back and read the manual again because we've sure been left lacking. Maybe he/she just has a strange sense of humor? (nyuk nyuk nyuk!) - Being a card carrying male I can comiserate with my brothers... you've put it rather succinctly; nicely done, bro. - Write on! - Rcat
