Vocalization by Amanda Bullingtonthroat constricted
voice box trying helplessly
to slide its natural path
up and down - stopped by
taut solid muscles
words strangled on the
lips of a minor,
suffocating in saliva
and mucus - stifled so
no one else will hear
She sits, head upon
her lifeless arms,
Facedown; features
Contorted from her
Failed attempts at
