a note to myself

by Charlie Morgan

charlie.

the clue is the word "nereid",
which was a saucy aquatic tart.
that is to say, one of 50 daughters
of Nereus,
ancient greek god of squelching.

squelching is the sound
that occurs when you
put your bare foot in a wet boot.
and with 50 daughters,
a lot of positions are possible.
"nereid" is also
(i had to look this part up in a dictionary)
the moon,

which is eighth in distance
from the planet Neptune.

and we all know what that means.

it means charlie.

Author's Note: words given to me, then i stole them, by a dear friend who, if water was wisdom, he's covered by 7/8ths of his surface...the man is off the page...with goodness and smartness...he lives, and he smiles...what's mine is his! he's that way...
