You know you
Without gratitude bestowed
Rest yourself
Relax
Ive accepted heavier
Youd never think to polish me
Even just a little so I wouldnt dry up and crack
But youll take what comfort I can give
Take and dont return
Youll know my embrace
Ill fit you
Ill be smothered as you relax
But youll compliment my color
Enjoy till I break
Nikki, you write some insightful poetry. This one speaks of so much pain and longing - to be wanted, accepted, yet giving and sacrificing for what is desired. I'll look at more of your work, in the next few days and see if I can recommend one for POTD.
