Long Live the King

by Thomas K. Hunt

Queen Mary took a turn but stayed on this side
Great King Louie wasn't so fortunate
What grabbed him made him die
The fine Prince Anthony has fought off father time
While Fryer Chuck has found his Lord
And peace within his mind

Mathew, Andrew, and young Anthony
Will someday take the reins
Showing their love for life

Carrying their sacred name

Passing on memories that are here to stay
Creating their own, each and every day
Brothers loving sisters
Protecting and guiding all
They'll seize the torch to light the way
When they hear the call

The kings will be remembered
Legends from a time
Names on granite markers
Memories now in minds
The Queen's love forever felt
The touching caring kind
With each new generations help
They won't be left behind

A royal verse indeed with all the pomp, pagentry and color purple. Great read.
