Whispering Thoughts

by Thomas K. Hunt

Whispering thoughts
Heard by just your ear
Steal you away
From others that are here

You’re alone when you’re born
Yet surrounded all the time
Your thoughts are your own
You’re alone in your own mind

You’re the only one that’s here
Sitting beside another soul
Alive within your border
Where no one else can go

Some may say they know you
Those are only words
They’ve never heard the thoughts
That only you have heard

They only see the outside
Impossible to see within
No one truly knows
The thought behind the grin

Lost in the moment
Living outside your skin
Til the whisper of a thought
Brings you back inside again

Thomas, you are the master of rhyme. The 5th stanza is mine...or so it seems. Good work.

Yes this is the truth, no matter what we truly are always ALONE.

Great rythym and rhyme on such a deep subject - excellent!
