Iraq: Winning Their Hearts And Minds

by Jersey D Gibson

Peace will be coming soon,
one day we will leave.
Until that day comes,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

You will have your own government,
we promise they're not our stooges.
Until that day comes,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

We're taking care of your criminals,
sorry, terrorists, freedom fighters, whatever.
Until that day comes,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Two rounds to the chest, one to the head.

Invaders we are, leaving soon,
leave you with a devistated country.
Leave you broken and weak,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Global police we are, patroling,
clamp down with an iron fist.
Leave you in a dark pit,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Convoys run over your vehicles,
random gunfire kills your childern.
We're leaving you no options,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Two rounds to the chest, one to the head.

Another car bomb kills your police,
more weapons chatter death.
Rocket attack hits apartment buildings,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Helicopter tears up another street,
miniguns blazing insurgants.
Don't you love what we've done for you?
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Explosions destroy another weapons cache,
missles take out a terrorist nest.
We've brought you peace,
we're winning your hearts and minds.

Two rounds to the chest, one to the head.
