girls not trusting to boys do give
an idea of what's missing in the life they live.
confusion sets in when the two bodies meet,
both hungry for love; each must settle for defeat.

because her loss is from a wanting not found in the treat,
and his loss, not knowing how to be more than just meat.
but both were taught all that they now know
by loved ones who hoped that with goodness they would grow.

but, alas, the world, it's ins & outs and ups & downs,
leaves both wandering wondering, just who is the clown?
and our need for a stable self causes blame and retreat
yet, true love really happens when two souls meet.
