Desiree(and what I knew of love)

by Peter Hsu

And what do you know about love?
While you were breaking the winds with your teeth,
putting to words your stranglehold on her fingers,
you failed to notice her passion streaming
down her thighs,
dripping,
watering the ground at your feet.
Oh, you raised her on high,
one hand at her neck, the other pumping
again and again
at a spot that you would never let her touch,
leaning back from the effort of mastering your rapture,
a red flower sprouted
and was instantly crushed beneath your heel.
Exquisite, a wonder to behold;
your silly posturing, a weighty ballet,
her bloodless corpse tied to the sun,
a circle of trampled flowers,
the shape of love escaping from
under your feet.

Peter, this certainly puts a new spin on love. Your imagery is excellent. A very enjoyable read. Welcome to Pathetic!
