sun kissed streaks pink
race across sky
one last moment
of brilliance
knowing soon they die
last chance at immortality
within a memory
they try
so hard the dawn downs
for just one to see
burning up in seconds
from heat of jealous sister's glow
glowing of true colors
only they can show
one last glorious exit
before they too are dead
