i'm going to die by Charlie Morgan
seems all men and dogs die.
and i
thought well,
maybe, just maybe
not i.
but on second reflection, i sighed.
my dad died.
mama too.
so i postured,
why not i?
but to live forever
is an endeavor
that Chance won't meet
at noon for a showdown.
Life's much too clever.
instead, She'll wait like Zeno,
stoic and standing below
your special experience,
your perception holding you,
never letting go.
until finally destiny finds you,
weak in bone and sinew,
and you just wanting another day
on this round ball that's
covered in an ocean's blue.
