I’ll walk down the aisle to you and be given away.

I never doubt that we will have a life time together,

I just get a little nervous when I here the word “forever”.

I never pictured my life the way it is now,

I was living on cloud nine then it fell to the ground.

I have spent years healing and figuring out my life,

Stepping over hurdles and struggling with the strife.

One chapter opens as another chapter is closed,

It is still hard sometimes, harder than any body knows.

I am grateful for my life and for everything I have,

And I will try to not look back as much once I travel down that path.

As that day grows closer, please be patient with me.
