Parable 88 by Kourosh Taheri-GolvarziA bed, and I pay for the rest.
A room, and I pay for the rent.
For housing, there is always a price,
But strip me, and the world is my home. 04/07/2005 Author's Note: I find it interesting how westerners seem to believe that the haiku is
the only style of east asian poetry. To the contrary: there are many.
One of them is this style, which is a pretty basic Chinese structure.
As told by a Japanese poet, the usual Chinese poem is four lines. The
first line has the initial phase, the second line continues that
phase, the third line turns from this subject and starts a new one,
and the fourth line brings the first three together. With that said,
here's mine.
