Void Patterns

by Vikki Owens

I've seen a ghost,
the patterns of her apathy,
the desolation in her moving here-to-there,
I've seen her reflection in the mirror, the ions of her
presence scintillating and fluctuating.
Ebbing and karreeming, coming and then disappating.

I've seen the ghost of a smile,
the wisp of a bright-eye.

She moves in void, vaccume expanding and condensing,
and not one real breath.
