it's true

but I don't really believe all that. I mean,
if great love is true, then those that have
it would never lie, they'd never cheat,
they'd never the break the heart of the one
that they love. If great love had any truth
in it, just being in love would be enough
and we all know that's a lie. If great love
were true, then you would be knocking
on my door right now with flowers
and a very plain wedding ring asking
me to stay. You would be sweeping
me off my feet and kissing me softly
