Necklace of Surrender by Tota LongmireA daisy chain of blood drops
Draped about her neck.
A deadly scarlet necklace
She can never wear again.
Petals fall and stain the floor.
Sliding slowly down the wall
She goes and joins them there.
The daisy stems grow longer
Wilting towards the ground
Created of her lifeblood
They'll grow until she's dead. 03/31/2005 Posted on 04/01/2005 Copyright © 2024 Tota Longmire
