Iraqistan: Knights In Bulletproof Vests by Jersey D GibsonRiding again in my up-armored chariot,
pages and squires with M-16's.
K-Pot feels so thin on my head,
as another IED goes off nearby.
Riding again in my up-armored convoy,
field litter after field litter in sight.
Boys and girls, step right up,
wait in line for a go in the meat grinder.
Shooting again from my up-armored humvee,
my .50 cal can sing along with me, too.
M-203's fall like a rain of cherries,
but these cherries go boom like gernades.
Shooting again from my post on up high,
feel like St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
Only St. Pete doesn't have a M-4,
with an M-68 scope, Paq-4, or 200+ rounds.
Running again, it's that time once again,
IBA with sappi plates heavy for PT.
So much better for blocking out the fragments,
even knights of old had rust on their armor.
Running again, a hajjie cart didn't get out in time,
he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Watch as the Tigeris is running with blood,
the Euphrates littered with floating bodies. 03/31/2005 Author's Note: K-Pot - Kevlar Helmet M-203 - Gernade launcher attachment to an M-16 M-68 - A scope Paq-4 - Infared laser sight IBA - Individual Body Armor Sapi Plates - Kevlar plating in IBA, 40 lbs. each, one in front, one in back Tigeris & Euphrates The two main rivers in Iraq, known as ancient Mesopotamia.
