The Bouquet

by Jeffrey Parren

The bouquet he gave birth to
Was something purely out of
A poem. The shine was confusedly
Offset
By a dark, dull green bundle
So gently placed, each picked
By hands of tenderness.
His comical representation
Offset
By the joy represented,
The heart within,
The true meaning,
The truth, represented
Offset
By a man brought to his knee.
Amazing what can be done.
Culinary Master
Tinfoil, asparagus, love.

such originality...i love this glimpse into a simple gesture transformed by the depth of emotion behind it!
