as she silently suckles

by Bethany Lee

is it possible to explain
your eiffel eyelashes
with justice?

or those blue reflective globes?
a starburst of sparkle
i am in your eyes
in all probable disguise.

your arched eyebrows
smudged on your skin
by the thumbs of heavenly beings.
your ears reminiscent of
shimmering conch shells.

you have revealed the ocean to my Soul.

the rhythm of your heart against mine
in sync with time
and all the esoteric echoes outside of it...

with priceless rose~gold strands of silk
your sunrise hair was woven
by spiritual spinsters as you slept in the bassinet.

such softness in your fingertips, elbows, knees...

fresh skin
fresh smell
fresh life!

your flawless skin pulls me in
and i stare for unaccounted hours
at your precious perfection.

what was my life
before you came through
an open window in the atmosphere?

comparably empty.

now, everlasting heart-quenched bliss...
