Once Broken by Maria Terezia FerenczAnd to the waves that crash
I am screaming I don't care
They rush up fast fiercely pounding
snatching hopes so broken
littered on my shore
Why salvage scattered pieces of me
wasted wreckage of a dream
One less wish to sail to sea
I'll build my ship over send
a stronger dream
sail away once more
Stupid waves do you not see
I have no need for them
once broken
they are no good to me
I'll still try again

Posted by Max Bouillet on 03/23/05 at 08:58 PM Perseverance is hard to maintain… soon we find ourselves searching for ourselves in the sand. After all, it’s easier to walk on a beach than to build a ship. But you’re right. The ocean is addictive. Let’s shed ourselves and sail! Great read. |
