No, I've never been

by Vikki Owens

Never been, never seen the sunset
over any mountian whatsover.
I've asked how the light spreads,
but I've never been told.

I've asked how legs spread
so easily, even mine, and how you could
have crawled into the harbor
that I made, and eventhough the waves were low
you left again, never dreaming that
your ship would go down,
never dreaming that I'd forget you
so quickly.

Words are flowing like those of John and Paul,
no sense to be made, and where they go...I'd never be so
brash to ask,
a universe could be too small,
a change of scenery could be the dosage of distraction
that I need,
a mountian, a stream, a sea.
I ressurrect your sunken ship and take leave.
