"Impacts of Reason"

by Max Phineas

It's amazing, what we remember
And what we'll willfully forget.
The things we wish hadn't happened
And what we choose not to regret.

Decisions and choices
And visions and voices
They warn us against impulsive acts.
But through the brainwashing,
They make certain to avoid
Determining the truths from the facts.

So unstitch your eyes
And open your ears
To the uproar of free will and speech.
And remember to base your decisions on YOU
Because, as they say, "To each..."

HIS OWN

Ah, I really enjoyed this one. I've had feelings like those recently. It is "amazing, what we remember." Great poem :D
