The Battle Within

by Charles M Harrison

The war rages the battle is fought
Victory, victory by each is sought.
The anger swells the hatred fly's
The silence is shattered by the battle cry's.
Through the ages the battle rages
It ebbs and flows in different stages.
From without I look inside
From the battle I can not hide.
A victor will not be found
Until I yield and kneel on the ground.
Until my will I forsake
And of the Lords will I partake.
Only when I submit it all
Will I rise from where I fall.
