Sight's Dawning

by Oliver Drewman

Today is a warm day
In which
I dreamed
Today in my dream
I saw the sky
Radient blue
In a color deep and rich
I saw against the heavens
White and wind whipped
Clouds that I could reach
Out and touch
Beautiful and exquisit
Today excitement filled my dreams
I could touch the clouds!
On a round stone balcony
I could touch...the...stars
Burning, majesticly cool
(I wish you could write,
in whispers and hushed tones)
But letters only carry
A limited amount of communication
Today I saw more clearly than before
Today I saw my dream and lived
