Musings by Max BouilletShe saves the half-thoughts
between topics,
mixes them with whiskey
and serves them
to uninspired poets.
They drink it in
like a drug.
Soon, they are penning
masterpieces and ranting naked
in the moonlight.
Words become
torrents of emotion
that drown the mundane.
They become gods,
trembling in the power of verse!
She records the entire event.
She captures the point inspiration.
She emails the entire scene to your
co-workers who promptly make fun
of your butt. 03/15/2005 Author's Note: I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 03/16/05 at 04:14 AM Yes, you seem to be back into the swing of things with this strong punch. haha. Bothways, right and left. This is a brilliant piece with this sarcasm, so distinct. |
Posted by Alex Smyth on 03/16/05 at 05:34 AM Max, you are the MASTER of (self)deprication. Did not see where this one was going, but should have. And you, my friend, are an integral part of the swing, hence could never be far removed:o) |
Posted by Charles E Minshall on 03/16/05 at 05:37 AM Good read Max but I have found no power in verse.

Posted by JD Clay on 03/17/05 at 02:27 AM This intricate piece takes an unexpected turn in the last verse. I was hanging on for the ride, wondering, reading, wondering, then BLAM! You played the butt card. Good stuff Max.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 03/20/05 at 02:55 AM You humorously picture what the lack of inspiration can do to the poet! The "butt" being the symbol! |
Posted by Graeme Fielden on 03/20/05 at 01:31 PM she's quite a piece of work, this use of yours Br Bouillet. Haha. I saw the e-mail, and I swear, I didn't want to pass it on. However the chain-mail said I had to forward it to 10 friends within 24 hours or else I'd be doomed to 10 years bad sex, bad luck & chronic incontinence...ouch! |
