my own reality

by Carl Walker

I am living my own reality, but then again ...I'm not.
an intersecting matrix binds your world and mine

I may say that i'm a christian
you may say that you are not

just because we travel in different orbits
doesn't mean we can't connect

because no matter whose flesh is wounded
the blood works out the same
and we all understand a little
of one another's pain

chorus: we all understand a little
of one another's pain
as each one helps another
we all get a little gain

as each one helps another
we all get a little gain

you are living your own reality, but then again.....you're not
an intersecting matrix binds my world and thine

you may say that you are liberal
I may say that I am not

just because we see the stars spin differently
doesn't mean we can't plot a course

because no matter whose flesh is wounded
the blood works out the same
and we all understand a little
of one another's pain

chorus

Yes, we all can sing together if we can transcend those meaningless boundaries. This is a beautiful piece.
