Subliminal Messaging (or the decline of mankind) by Amanda BullingtonA dark room
Filled with faceless zombies
(one and the same)
Gazed at the television
All precisely trained
To pervade their brains
With knowledge.
Words trickled
Through their time-constricted
Faces, wearing away their
Cynical gazes into
Euphoric stares.
Images careened
Freely, placing visions
[previously unseen]
Behind their
Chastened irises,
Disguised only by
The shadows in their
Vapid eyes.
[Meanwhile, the producers
Laughed and laughed,
Cackling at their ingenuity-
Their ability to destroy
Mankind by forcing
Subliminal images through
The sole control room of
The human brain.]
