This Memory Will Whisper

by Marlon DeLeon

A mother’s love is never forgotten
Thats what you were to me…to us
I still wait for your voice to whisper
I’m afraid that these moment in memory will fade
Sleep brings relief from truth I won't accept
Your smile and advice made things clear
Sometimes it feels so hard to breathe
I sit here wondering the last words I said to you
And there aren’t any word…I’m sorry
God bless her soul for she is immortal now
But I still stand here alone in the wake of a new day
After a night where the stars cried into the saddest sky
And I fight myself…but I miss you
And for iggy you’re never goin home
He’ll never see you smile
All he could do was say goodbye
Now I have no tears left
No more words to express
Just a heart that won't stop screaming
So this is the end
it won't be long we'll meet again
So long and goodnight
