Loner by Charles M HarrisonI have no one I can call friend,
No special women or special men.
I seek not the company of others
I want no sisters or brothers.
Alone am I, I travel alone
Where ever I am there is my home.
I need no one to care for me.
I fend for myself, for my spirt is free.
But where do I turn when I feel so alone,
When pain and sorrow hurt to the bone.
Where do I turn when I need a friend,
When the world around me starts to close in.
Will I always hide my tears.
Will i keep from sight my darkest fears.
When I die and this life it is spent.
To my funeral will no flowers be sent.
On my grave will my epitaph say,
I lived alone, alone here I lay. 09/01/1988 Posted on 03/09/2005 Copyright © 2024 Charles M Harrison
