Just Like You

by Charles M Harrison

I have no voice, or ears that hear
I can not touch you or hold you near
I can not see at least not like you do
But inside I am just like you.
I too have a heart that seeks love
I too was created by the farther above.
I want not your pity, or your tears
Just your friendship laughter and cheers.
Although on the outside I may not be whole
Inside of me I to have a soul.
I ask you accept me the way that I am
For I know I also have a part in God's plan.
Those of you who can only see
The outside differences between you and me
Have not yet learned to look with your heart
That is what is truly the saddest part.

Charles, every single piece I read of your touches me so deeply. You truly have a gift. A God given gift. I am so glad you share it with others. I really love this. God bless you. :)
