The Real Me

by Charles M Harrison

When you look at me,
What do you see?
Face, skin, and hair,
Is that all there is of me?
Do you only see the color or my cloths,
The size fo my nose, weather I am large or small?
Well my friend if that's all you see
Then you don't see me al all.
Do you look with your eyes
Seeing only what they can see?
Do you look with your heart
Hoping to discover the real me.
Who I am, what I am
Is not for your eyes to see.
If you open your heart and invite me in
Then you will know the real me.
When you open your heart
I open mine to,
Then I can discover also,
The real you.

I have a piece that I have been wanting to write about this same subject. (take me for who I am) This hit a little too close to home for me. Love this. :)
