Pebbles Once More

by Amy Niggel

Moments of weakness
piled up like a mountain
one pebble at a time
for letting one know too much
for not letting one know enough
for not saying "goodbye" while I could
for not saying "please stay" when I should have
tiny moments of regret
insignificant weights on my soul
the pains I carried
the guilt I kept
the deaths I took on my back
moments I blamed myself for
take them from me now
let me be free again
let my soul soar with angels
I give my life to You Lord
I bring You all I have
take me
shape me into my destiny
break the mountain back down to pebbles once more.

I just really like the end, the concept of breaking a mountain down to pebbles again. Of course only God could do that :)
