Dig a little deeper; you haven't reached my heart yet by Ava Blu
On the beach
We made love
The stars danced upon our bodies
One breath-taking instance
S h a t t e r e d
You whispered upon my soul
Every word I had ever desired
As your fist tore through these wounds
My guard
Demolished
Your eyes
Deceptive
I always was a fool
You had your shovel
Ready to bury what was left of me
But you couldnt penetrate
What I never gave you
I will never let you
Dig again.

As you first tore through these wounds... how true those words ring. |
