Sonnet 2-"Your words provide the prison I now accept"

by Lacey Smith

Your words provide the prison I now accept
And though your silence clearly seeks an end
These glances of your heart I intercept
4 And without weeping turn again to send
For in your logic lies the waste of heart--
The hardest press of time as we grow old
But in your foolish thoughts we find new start
8 These empty lies our hearts have ready sold
To me you are dear as to you I may be
But knowing that spent time will bring the halt
We disregard delusions of you and me
12 Though hearts know well the overlook of fault
For in time's passing, the notion stays in mind
Unwilling to look but hoping we will find
