OF THE BRIGHT DAY ANEW by W. Mahlon PurdinThere are blues
So deep and true
That nothing can take
Take them from you.
There are reds that enflame
You with desires
And thoughts that rip
And tear you away.
There are whites so hot
That all colors fade out
In your obsessions
Of grandeur and envy.
There is a black
That engulfs
And deprives
And ends it all.
So let your true colors
Shine through:
Sunrise hues
Of the bright day anew.
