a waste of time by Olivia Weinkeinloving life in fragments
can you keep the secret
noone has ever told
i knew you weren't
listening when i
finally
confessed everything it's
the only reason i continued on
and it is the death of the
small things that keeps me
from sleeping in empty beds
in empty rooms an eternity
away from anything
the sound of tears falling
keeps me sane, keeps me
coming back for more
it wasn't a waste of time
i promise you 02/17/2005 Posted on 02/17/2005 Copyright © 2025 Olivia Weinkein

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 02/17/05 at 08:16 PM Olivia, I like this one-thought poem. At first I wasn't sure about the lack of punctuation, but after reading in again, it matches the state of mind expressed in the poem. One suggestion - in L3, change noone to no one. Good work!
