Timeless

by Tota Longmire

These weeks grow longer
The droning, impersonal voices
Stretching them out into years
Time pauses continuously
Restless unending existences
Gone in one faint heart beat
Drowned in the ticking tocks
Of a mirthless uncaring clock.

Interesting juxtaposition of time dragging and suddenness of time's movement (Gone in one faint heartbeat). Apparent contradictions that appear "timeless".
