a chinese girl who must be nine walks

by Indigo Tempesta

a chinese girl who must be nine walks

into this café where i am sitting.

where i am being coughed

on by a fashionable hangover.

a chinese girl smiling tooths a bagel;

she has good canines.

she looks like snow,
or crying. she is an ice pink cake,

and i would like to crumble her lacework

like husked flies in the window sill.

yeah, what james said. funnily, i was reminded of his style, esp with the line he quotes! but anyway, i like your view; a female (you) vs. alternate reality female (girl)

I had to read this several times to get the sense of teeth-gritting in the first few stanzas. Then the final lines come as no surprise. ;-)
