Guitar strings cutting bleeding lines
Fingertips to match my heart.
Bleeding, aching hurt.
My little red acoustic
Accented with a darker scarlet.
Melodies to ward off madness
Repeating the same refrain
Over and over again.
Till my fingers no longer bleed,
Until they feel no pain.
I wish my heart would do the same.
