Would You Give?

by Ken Harnisch

Would you give me what I lack

And what you need, and in the

Process wither all we had in

Our possessions into nothingness?

It is a choice we dare not make and

Dare not speak, but the thought of

You floating in my clouds

Does catch my breath

And the memory of the shadow

Of your neck upon my lips

Still dances in the wild place

I used to call my heart

I can be so indifferent to

Temptations of any kind

But alas, or thank God,

I have yet to find the cure for you

*soft smile*.... Sometimes it is the things we find hardest to cure, that would change us forever were they cured. I sit here smiling, it seems as if your poetry always creates poetry in me, and am half tempted to post an answer to this one *grin*..... ummm.. I may yet. My Friend I do love your poetry!
