THE RAGE WITHIN

by Phil Walling

THE RAGE WITHIN

A conflict of a prophetic madness
Decisions are made,
Weapons waiting in the shade
My shoulders hang heavy in sadness.

My world is dangerous, frightening
Evolution is tentative,
Intelligence is speculative
When my house is hit by lightning.

The day gives me again a morning
I drink my pot of coffee,
For my caffeine energy -
To face this possible warning.

When I face the face of the sin
With confidence and trust,
The killing fields of rust
Fuel this fodder of the rage within.

A conflict which everyone tends to go through on this journey of life. Awesome poem!
