escape

by Indigo Tempesta

he will sail across the water where a thousand tires have driven
unquestioning. does he seem more or less
in touch if he notes the black stain in the snow furrows,
fallow and effortless? he will call their bluff, sow seafoam, sail
where no one has sailed before. the letters he writes in his forward mind
remind his family that he, of them, never was. but he does not send
what he pens; only navigates, charts and starmaps, sailing
where he's not allowed.

Author's Note: eh? i seem to have entered an experimental phase wherein i no longer question what i have thought to put down but rather try to make something of whatever comes. essentially laziness, at its root. love

"fallow and effortless"... i so love that image... i find a human, with all the emotions trapped inside, screaming to be released... this is a good piece of work... blessings...
