Glass is Half Full, Glass is Half Empty

by Omi Salavea

The Glass is Half-full, The Glass is Half-Empty
-------------------------------------------------

Go up to the sink, and fill the glass yourself.

Under constant attack never healing, scarring over
Open wounds that continue to seep
Into the ocean of emotion i drown in
the wretched wreck of myself is washed upon the shore
for any onlooker to see.
Swept up in a tide of all-consuming fear,
weary arms, tired and desperate, trying so hard to keep afloat.
I yearn to drown, but cannot.
This bottomless cup of tea life has served me chokes my lungs, and sputters my soul.
Am I the fly that ruined tea-time, or have i fed myself into the waters that create Oceans, tears, tea, coffee, kisses, life?

-----------------

Never-ending, these emotions keep pouring outward.
I feel drained, but there's still so much here,
Can't you see it?
