ROARING TIDES
by Mark MaxeyAs in water overcoming the land
So it is with anger...it rises and falls
the emotion ebbs in an out of our life
never really being a force we understand
tho it is something we can control
misguided words offered in anger
only compound the situation
making it harder to repair
if repairs can even fix the damage
dams hold back water
their careful placement prevent floods
some erode over time
while others keep the water at bay
as a violet sunset fades into black
the interstellar atmosphere holds the balance
and only time can tell
of the results or destiny
